Edit Gantry Cranes

Edit

Gantry cranes are a type of overhead crane similar to bridge cranes, which consist of a hoist fitted in a trolley which moves horizontally on a rail or two parallel rails under a beam. Gantry cranes are designed to lift very heavy objects, and are often used in ship building, moving massive objects such as the ship engines. Some of the larger shipbuilding gantry cranes can lift up to 1600 tons. Some smaller gantry cranes are used in factories as workstations. Manufacturers of gantry cranes include SPANCO, North American Industries, and Ace World. Find used and new gantry cranes on Cranehunter.com.
